Olympia Dumbo

Located in the heart of DUMBO, Olympia reflects a sense of scale, rhythm, and a palette of colors and materials grounded in the maritime and industrial inheritance of the neighborhood’s historic waterfront.

Olympia Dumbo is a record-breaking residential tower in Brooklyn, New York, designed by Hill West and Workstead and developed by Fortis Property Group. As art director at Pandiscio Green, I created a fitting visual identity inspired by the building’s architecture and location, and designed a custom suite of sales and marketing materials including a responsive website, dynamic digital ads, printed collateral, branded gifts and environmental graphics for the sales center.

As lead brand designer, I developed a bold, elegant typographic system and logotype that responds to the geometry and materiality of the building and underscores its confident prominence on Brooklyn’s skyline. Spanning over 38,000 total square feet, and featuring standouts like a private tennis court, two pools, a spa and a bowling alley, Olympia’s unrivaled amenity program was deserving of an icon system that identified each unique space. This system, represented minimally—in-step with the interior design scheme—was carried out through wayfinding signage and amenity plans.

“When glimpsed from the outside, especially from across the East River in Manhattan, Olympia resembles an unfurled sail, a dynamic homage to the neighborhood’s maritime past.”
